Our History

World Impact Bible Institute (WIBI) is a Bible School with a mandate. It has a God-given vision that propels it to accomplish and be all all that God intended it to be. WIBI is dynamic and living, fulfilling what God has commanded it. In attendance are men and women filled with fire and zeal that will take the gospel to all parts of the earth. Jesus said, "And this gospel of the Kingdom shall be preached in all the world as a witness to all nations (ethnic groups) and then the end will come." Matt 24:14. The Holy Spirit is drawing men and women from the United States, every province of Canada and many nations of the world to be part of what God is doing in Toronto.

In 1987, God directed Peter Youngren to open a Bible School. In September, 1988, World Impact Bible Institute began. It started with only eleven students at a converted motel in Niagara Falls, moved to St. Catharines to a rented facility, then to an auto repair shop, soon after this, a large house in Thorold became a temporary home for the Bible School. The first few years were challenging but God was faithful. Most of those students from the first year class are working in full-time ministry today. By 1990, World Impact Bible Institute had moved to another rented facility to accommodate the growth. A local church opened its doors to us. We saw the student enrolment leap to one hundred and eighteen in 1993. God demonstrated His hand upon this school. In September 2001, the Toronto Campus opened for part-time evening courses which paved the way for what would become our new full time campus. Today our new campus is at 190 Railside Road, in Toronto, ON. We now have our own building, cafeteria and library. The school continues to grow; God’s hand of blessing has never lifted. He is truly doing great things in our midst.

We are now registering students for the spring semester. Call today at: 416-497-4940 ext. 102
